Greg's Story
I inherited the entrepreneurial spirit from my father and at the age of 12, I joined a 4H program raising chickens. I started a company called Greg’s Egg’s. For about two years, I sold fresh eggs to schoolteachers, neighbors, and family.
Over the next forty-five years, I owned and managed several businesses ranging from corporate television production to construction. Mixed into my small business ventures was an online store and a corporate event management company.
I am a strong believer in supporting the community. Throughout my life I have been actively involved in a variety of organizations.
My business ventures afforded me the opportunity to travel extensively, both internationally and domestically. Experiencing different cultures has been a highlight of my life.
In September 2025, I was diagnosed with early stage Alzheimer’s disease. I am fortunate to be treated at Duke Health, part of Duke University. I receive an infusion every two weeks for a period of eighteen months. This drug is designed to slow the progression of my Alzheimer’s disease.
I write a Substack blog about my Alzheimer’s journey. Greg’s AZ Store is my latest business venture. The profits help to cover my medical treatment expenses.
